Required for: September 2019

Salary: MPR/UPR + TLR2B

Yarnfield Primary School is a 3 form entry, mixed primary school for pupils aged 3-11. We are very proud to say we are part of The Summit Learning Trust (formally known as the Ninestiles Academy Trust).

Yarnfield Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an excellent and experienced teacher who has a particular strength in English.  We are looking for a lead practitioner who is a model of good practice but most importantly, is passionate about the development of the teaching of English across the school and within the curriculum.  Our vision is that the teaching of English is the highest quality across the school and is also interwoven throughout all areas of the curriculum so that our children leave Yarnfield Primary School with English skills, ready for secondary school.

The role will be class based for four days a week with release time as required to support, model and coach staff within the school.  Initially, the role will be based in upper KS2. The fifth day will be spent working with the Trust Curriculum Lead, developing outstanding teaching of English across our other schools.

Ideally, you will have experience of working with and alongside colleagues to help them develop. You will also be passionate about developing an English culture and be proactive in supporting the English team on current action research to inform best practice.

This is an exciting, new role within the school and the Trust which we see as developing and evolving over the academic year.

If the potential of this role excites you, we would love to hear from you. Please contact the school office on 0121 693 0362 to arrange an informal visit and to meet our lovely staff and children:- Informal visits will be taking place on Wednesday 27th March 2019 at 2:00pm and 4:00pm
